The Process of Freeze-drying:

In order to preserve the rich vibrant color of your flowers, specific chemicals are applied to the petals. Once this is done, the treated flowers are then placed on a tray and loaded into our state-of-the-art freeze-dryer. The flowers are frozen at temperatures of -30º and will be adjusted very slowly until the chamber reaches 60º. A vacuum is formed in the chamber so that the moisture from the flowers can be slowly extracted. This part of the procedure is done at a slower rate so as to prevent damage to the petals from the moisture bursting out of the cells.

1. Photograph of the flower will be taken.
2. Flowers will be taken apart and re-hydrated.
3. Pre-treatments will be used on the flowers to hold natural color and open the cell structure and then placed in a holding freezer.
4. We label all of the extras (ribbons, pins, etc.) and put them in storage until it it time to create your keepsake.
5. Sealing and color enhancement: flowers are wired and each flower is sealed with a thin polymer coat to protect the flower from sun and moisture.
6. Flower will be designed into your special keepsake.
7. Flowers will be tested for complete dryness, then sealed and ready to be shipped or picked up.
